Opening day is almost here and we are beyond excited to get this Spring Season started! Below you will find the schedule of events for Opening Day so that you can plan accordingly.
Serra Mesa Little League Opening Day
Date: Saturday, 3/5/2022
Time: 9:30am - 2:30pm
Location: 8308 Hurlbut Street San Diego, CA 92123
Parking is limited when we’re all at the park so plan ahead for arrival times.
Morning Games
- 9:30am: Royals vs Padres (Caps on Field 2)
- 9:30am: Orioles vs Padres (Minors on Field 3)
Opening Ceremony and Parade
- 11:00am: All players arrive and gather with their teams
- Wear Uniforms! (Arriving soon and distributed next week.)
- 11:20am: Ceremony & Parade
- National Anthem
- League Parade and Big Group Picture
Afternoon Games
- 12:30pm: Reds vs Tigers (Caps on Field 2)
- 12:30pm: Padres vs Cubs (Majors on Field 3)
Picture Day for TBall, Rookies, & Caps
- 8:15-10:15am – Teams have received specific times by email.
- Minors and Majors will have a separate picture opportunity later in the season.
Food
- SMLL Snack Bar will be OPEN!
- Nachos, popcorn, pretzels, snacks, candy, soda/water etc.
- Taco Stand
- Lunch plates w/3 tacos, rice, beans & a la carte items for sale
- Kona Ice (Afternoon)
All Day Activities
- Local Serra Mesa Vendors!!!
- DJ/music - Fun for all ages
- Arts/Crafts/Games - Tables set up around the park
